Phoenix rupicola is also called the cliff date palm and originates from the south-eastern Himalaya in Bhutan and India. It is probably the most beautiful and elegant of the Phoenix species. They are relatively small Phoenix palms reaching heights of up to seven meters. These palms tolerate only light frosts but are best kept frost-free.
